We had the beef and lemon chicken. All were cooked to order and to sizzling hot when served us. The portions were large and meat was tender. Recommend this place for a pen on your rib, good ol? Comfort Food!
Fantastic, fresh and homemade. Everything was delicious. Family owners and guests treated like one of their own.
If I gave him half a star. Maybe it was okay to eat here, but the young child I suspect was totally rude. Apparently, he's the owner's big son and didn't give a flip about being there. Too bad for Grandpa because I'll never eat there. My wife and I stood up and went. Food: unsafe service: terrible! In response to your sir, it wasn't about the Shawarma as you said. After my wife and I sat, your son removed the flowers from our table and said that people have a tendency to get food on them. Rude. Then told us that he was forced to work in his grandfather's restaurant because you were forced. He then explained that he was a terrible server and we could handle it or not. Last straw, we left. For the short time we talked, he did not seem to care about his attitude or demeanor. A complete shutdown for a paying customer. Maybe a little more training is needed. Thank you for your recognition of the incident, but we will not return.
Grampa's Casual Gourmet has returned to its roots today and is reborn as Kansas City Papagallo's Italian and Mediterranean restaurant! Papagallo's has a long history in Kansas City, first sounded in 1992 and won the Small Business of the Year Chamber in Kansas City, KS in 1993. We are the same delicious appetizers and entrees we have in our new location in 7805 W. 151st Street in Overlandd Park, right behind the QT!
Some of the best home cooked food I've had in my life. (don't tell my grandma) if you go here, get the hummus and the lemon chicken. The man in the back does all the cooking. He needs to be bronzed. There just needs to be a statue or something.
