Towards the end of our tasting some regulars came in an older couple I think) and she turned all her attention to them and didn't ask us if we had any questions or anything else. She also forgot to mention there is a $2 tasting discount that can be applied to the bottles we decided to purchase later we only found out because of a small sign by the register). Overall: Best deal for tastings in the Cayuga lake area $5 for 5 wines) plus a $2 per bottle discount if you choose to purchase some bottles afterwards. Really good variety of wines and inexpensive prices but the service was really disappointing :
This winery is a beautiful setting overlooking Cayuga Lake. The Vineyard is family owned and their wines are delicious. I personally loved the Vidal Blanc and their Chardonnay. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. We boated upto the dock and received a nice welcome and a ride up to the Vineyard. Our daughter was seasick and the staff went above and beyond to make sure she had medicine from their first aid kit. Since she was not up for boating back and ubers were unreliable, the owner drove us back to our rented lake house which was about a 25 min ride. He refused to take any money for his trouble. This winery is a class act not only in wine but in customer relations. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Janine Fox
The RUDEST lady front Ever at any place I ever had been to. I asked her if they had any snacks and stated I know it's Wednesday but if they offered a cheese plate or option to purchase a snack bag of chips etc would go great... Then I went to bar area to get glass to drink from she walked over handed glass holding on to the glass a second more than after handing it off and gave a snare then followed me to the table where my 85 yo mother and my wife were visiting. She came and loudly said if i can't make your experience better perhaps I should ask you to leave !! yikes ! Outrageous all for giving a constructive tip that they could increase the experience ,increase profits and add to customer experience. Yikes do yourself a favor SKIP this place ! Horrible attitude. I had been in the food service and loved getting tips from customers from there point of view . Actually asked my employees to ask for them . P pool ll
I wish I could give this place a zero star rating. We were greeted by a snotty teenage boy who kicked us out of a parking spot so that he could park his Kubota. Nothing like putting your customers first. Then we were told that if we couldn't find a table on the lawn we'd have to leave. Ok, another rude employee. Whatever. But there were some tables on the lawn so we bought a few bottles of wine and enjoyed some conversation with our group. Then, yet another rude employee came up and said that they needed the table we were sitting at for their bistro patrons. There were four other empty tables that they could've used. When we pointed that out, the rude employee said that other patrons were saying we were complaining about their pricing. Uhhh no. We happened to be talking about the expensive price of travel right now. Don't flatter yourselves. Save your time and don't ever stop at this ridiculously snotty winery. I've never felt so unwelcomed at a place that I've spent a decent amount of money at in my life. Insanity.
We had a wonderful experience at the wine tasting. $5 to try 5 wines, which is the best deal I've had in the area or at any winery I've ever been to tbh. Our server was lovely and the scenery was stunning. Can't wait to go back next time we're upstate!
