Birgit's Pastry Cafe - Owen Sound

Set among so much wonderful art, in the Owen Sound Artist's Co-op, Birgit's Pastry Café is it's own thing of beauty. Often over looked in the downtown area, it's the perfect place for lunch or a grab and go. The coffee is great! The sandwiches are delicious with creative twists and the soups are to die for. All hand crafted using fresh, local ingredients! The desserts are the icing on the cake! European style yumyums, tarts and pastries! This lady knows what she is doing! A visit is a must!

I have eaten at this cafe multiple times now and literally everything I've had is delicious. The service is wonderful and sunny, the prices very reasonable, and the food is above-and-beyond. This is the perfect place to grab lunch, coffee, and an amazing dessert. Can't recommend it enough.

Years ago I was introduced to Birgit's soups and I am so glad that she has returned to soups. Anyone of her soups are a pleasure. Delightful setting and great wait staff,but it is the soup I am after.

The food takes a while to prepare, the baking is tastey but the prices are a high. Probably not eat here by habit but got caught hungry.
