It's not exactly sparkling clean (the way any eatery should be, imho,) nor does it seem to have anything on the menu that looks particularly appetizing. And yet ... and yet, they surprise me pleasantly each time.We had turkey sandwiches, which had been freshly roasted: tasty, moist, absolutely delicious! We chose alternately a salad, and fries: the salad was dancing fresh and the fries were REAL potatoes (take heed people)! cut in wedges and done to perfection. Ice tea was the usual commercial flavouring, but still quite good -- and needless to say there was no room for dessert. Their portions are generous, their food is wonderful, their service is amazing! If only the physical surroundings reflected their true merits, I think people would be lining around the park trying to get in. It is always "the last place I think of" when I think of going to a restaurant in OS; and yet, when I'm dragged to it, kicking and screaming, I'm always glad I went. One of those strange anomalies that could easily be cured by some good old fashioned elbow grease, a bucket of warm, soapy water, and maybe even a splash of more cheering paint. If you're not quite as OCD as I am, you'll love the place and probably give it 5 stars.
The service is great. the food portion is perfect. and the price is competitive ... I promise you wont leave un-satisfied.
Tried to get a table inside at 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Seemed like there were tables available, but told there would be a wait. Decided to use the take out window instead. Big mistake - took over 30 minutes to get our 3 burgers. Food was good but service was poor.
While the service was adequate, the french toast was gawdawfull, dry white bread with a little egg wash and cinnamon and the coffee was close to being dishwater, also the men's washroom reeked as though it hadn't been swamped out for days.Lunch here is usually ok, although their limited menu becomes boring quite quickly. During peak times the noise level rises while the service dwindles.
Came here for breakfast with local friends. Service was fine. The water glasses are really small so the server had to come back more often to refill them. The food was perfectly average. It's hard to mess up eggs, oatmeal and a fruit cup. The view and setting is definitely a plus.
