Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Owensboro

This place is the worst. They aren't short handed but it still takes 35 minutes for then to cook chicken tenders. It's just ridiculous. The laziest restaurant in town I do believe. Be prepared go wait 30 minutes minimum for everyone to decide how they are going to go about doing the least bit of work and still get paid.

Went drive-thru in order to three-piece combo all white meat asked for all breast I get back and I have two wings and one breast and very old chicken and biscuits. I squeezed the chicken with the paper towel it was saturated with grease like had been sitting there for a while

The employees were wordlessly rude. I sat at the drive thru intercom for 15min before I pulled around. I explained that I felt as if I was forgotten and I understood. The young man then asked what I wanted , then I was parked, ended up waiting another 20 min, Went in to ask for my money, they offered me a box that was sitting on the counter. They told me they couldn 't refund to a card, so I insisted on the cook cooking fresh chicken while I watched. I came upon young people that really didn 't want their jobs and no matters.

Typical take out chicken. You have your choice of spicy or mild. I got the spicy with beans and rice. The chicken was crispy and juicy. They were just the right size as to be filling enough. The rice and beans are a perfect accompaniment to the chicken. The biscuit was a bit on the small side. I seem to remember them a little bit bigger.

Anthony seems like a good owner. Slight issue at the register, but he figured it out quickly and got everything going while it rebooted. Nobody seemed to be waiting long despite the lunch rush. Definitely will return. Employees were very friendly and quick.
