This is an upscale Marriott with a modern atmosphere. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating to my request. The floors are secured by your room key access only to the elevators. The only real con was the parking. The parking was free, and that is a plus. The real thing is that the garage is not connected to the building, and across the street. The walk is short, but in the rain it is not fun. Overall it was very nice, and I would recommend this hotel.
The room was VERY clean. I usually take my pillow with me but we flew in so that was a no go; I was very comfortable with the pillows and the bed as well I thought about checking the bed tag to see what it was so I could get a new bed at home! Towels were restocked without asking for them and it was really nice to have a Ph water dispenser in the gym, conveniently located on our floor : The lobby is beautiful, huge and the furniture was comfy, like sitting on my couch at home. This location was convenient to BWI and there were good restaurants within walking distance.
Just spent the weekend there over Thanksgiving. New hotel, everything upscale, clean, beds comfortable. Nice bar and restaurant. Only downfall is you have to park in parking garage across street and it is not connected but we never had a problem finding a parking space.
When we inquired about the M Lounge and its perks, such as drinks, snacks, and breakfast, we were informed that these amenities were unavailable, and we were not offered any compensation, despite having purchased the upgrade. Frustrated, we returned to our room and tried to use the room service feature on the phone, only to be directed to the bar. When I inquired about ordering food, I was told that room service is not offered at the hotel. So why is there an option for it on the phone? Annoyed, I went back down to the front desk, but there was no one available to assist me. A kind housekeeping staff member offered to take my room number and promised that someone would call me when they returned. I eventually received a call, and once again, I was informed that none of the amenities we were promised were available. After specifically asking about compensation, I was offered a voucher for breakfast, but when I inquired about snacks and water, I was told management was only concerned with breakfast. The representative agreed to provide water, but we had to come down to collect both the water and the voucher. The next day, I ordered French toast for breakfast, and to my disappointment, three of the four slices were undercooked. At this point, I was extremely dissatisfied with our stay. I spoke with another staff member about the lack of amenities included with our upgraded room, and was told that it was beyond his authority to address the issue, with no solutions offered. While the property itself is beautiful and clean, the service has been terrible. As a frequent guest at Marriott hotels, I expected much better. I have reached out to the hotel multiple times but have yet to receive a response.
