We couldn't have chosen better than The Randolph: the food was excellent, as were the staff who went out of their way to be helpful. I would heartily recommend The Randolph, and hope to return there myself as soon as possible.
Went there with my fiancée for our 3rd Anniversary. Staff were particularly helpful and friendly, could not fault them. Food was amazing and well worth the trip. We sat in the Morse Bar whilst waiting for our table, this was tasteful and the ambience was amazing. To top it all off, we were presented with a complimentary treat after dessert wishing us a happy anniversary.
We had a good meal with very friendly service. But unfortunately we were expecting to have a much higher standard of food and the Chef's tasting course. However because of a fire at the hotel the restaurant was relocated and had a limited menu. I think it would be better once the restaurant is back to its original location and with the full menu.
The table asignement was superb, the ambience was great, the details were remarkable, however they have one terrible waitress, and the cream was tasteless as well as the risotto... it was too creamy, however the beef was superb.
My Husband and I got a bit of a shock when we first arrived at the restaurant at 8.00pm for dinner, firstly the aroma of boiled pongy veg and then the silence that descended around us as we stepped across the threshold. It took us some time to settle in to the atmosphere, whispering to one another so as not to disturb the peace, we even considered leaving. We found the food to be very nice and the service to be very good. It was very expensive (in comparison to similar Menus in London Hotels and Restaurants that we have eaten in . We were (at 40 years+ much younger than the vast majority of our fellow diners so if you are looking for a buzzy ambience with like minded diners this is not the place for you.
