I order palak panner, butter huh, along with a lot of naans and roti (Indian brote). it was great.
Booked table on website only to find out it is now an Italian. There seem to be plenty of other restaurants on the same street to choose from though.
We have been regualrs here for a number of years, have raved about the food and service. Had Sunday buffet a few weeks ago and it was all cold, very disappointing. Decided to give it another go, planned our day with friends, shopping, a few drinks and Sunday buffet. Arrived at 1535, doors locked and owner said they had shut due to being quiet. Not good enough. Lost our custom, Nef Istanbul next door amazing food and service!
We booked a table for 7 for an 88th family birthday celebration. Service was appalling we waited an hour for our starters to arrive and waited again for the main course. They knew it was a special meal as we sang Happy Birthday before we ordered. The wait was so long that the main guest had to be taken home before the main meal arrived. I expressed our disappointment at the end of the meal and asked if it was always like this. I was told it was because they were very busy with deliveries of takeaway meals and they had little to say when I said, So you prioritise takeaways over diners sitting in the restaurant. PLEASE NOTE : the access to the toilets is very narrow, being partially blocked by furniture and, when you open the door to the Disabled toilet, it is used as a store room and is literally stacked to the ceiling with equipment, so is completely inaccessible. Please see attached photo. My daughter, who works with young people with severe disabilities was extremely annoyed about this, particularly as there was nothing at the front of the restaurant to say the toilet was inaccessible or even out of order. One of our party had a rollator but we were still not told at the start of the meal that there was no Disabled toilet.
Went for the sunday buffet. At £10 a head its such a good deal. Theres a whole salad counter with all the different chutneys and sauces, starters counter with samosas, chicken wings, chicken tikka etc and then the main counter had pilau rice, naan, a few different chicken currys a lamb curry chickpea and aubergine curry. All the food was very tasty, particularly the lamb curry.I would have been very happy anywhere else paying £10 for some rice and just the lamb curry as a main! So it really is great value and I will definitely be back.
