If I had a critique, it would be regarding the way one of the waiters approached us. We were a group of African students from Oxford, and maybe we were a bit loud. However, the waiter was quite rude in the way she spoke to us. Overall, Ole and Steen offers good value for money, especially for those with a sweet tooth.
I visited Ole & Steen during Christmastime to try the mince pie festival bun created in collaboration with Meringue Girls. It did not disappoint and was one of the tastiest pastries I have ever had. I hope they bring it back this year! The only downside was the price, but it was worth it in my opinion. We also tried a delicious cinnamon pastry, which was one of their classics. The coffee was decent, but the highlight was definitely their baked goods.
In two words: absolutely delicious. We tried the chocolate chip bark, apple cake, and Christmas special bee. The display at the front of the bakery was mouthwatering. It was tough to choose what to eat because I wanted everything.
Absolutely amazing selection of tasty tasty! we thought we could not help but get some baked. I would have made pictures to show how amazing it was, but they didn't last long enough! very recommended to click on and pick up what can only be described as a full of brilliant bites! to overtake it from the staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was very clean! I would give a sixth star if possible!
Best coffee we've had our for ages. Great cakes as well and enjoyed it so much came back in the afternoon for a late lunch that was even better. Ham and cheese toastie and beef roll, both with loads of flavour. Really friendly staff and wouldn't hesitate to come back.
