Pomegranate Kitchen - Oxford

My wife and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the kofta kebabs with meat were very sour. When we approached the waiter, he directed us to the manager who insisted that the food was perfect. We tried another kofta and it tasted good, but the manager refused to acknowledge any inconsistency and took away our unfinished plate. We spoke to the waiter, who was nice, about the manager's unprofessional behavior. Eventually, after further discussion, the manager offered us a small refund. However, when we mentioned that they should improve their communication and handling of such situations, the manager accused us of attacking him personally. Despite the good appetizers and polite waiter, we found the overall experience to be unacceptable. It is best to avoid this restaurant at all costs.

The waiter was incredibly friendly but not overly attentive, and we loved the tasty small plates we ordered. The restaurant had a lovely, laid-back atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoyed.

I recently dined at this restaurant and while I enjoyed the food, I noticed a significant decrease in quality. It appears that there may be new management in place. The menu has been reduced with fewer options available. Our food was served relatively quickly and was decent, but after we finished our meal, we had to wait at least 30 minutes for our table to be cleaned. We were not offered any drinks or dessert options and ended up leaving without them. We paid our bill and left. It seemed like there was only one waiter managing the entire restaurant on a busy Saturday night, which was quite overwhelming. In the future, I will choose to dine at Antep Kitchen instead.

After we had ordered and enjoyed some time ago, we thought we would reorder what we had before. mixed grill with lammschish and chickenish, flocked chicken wing, tawook and salat. we ordered a part rice and broth between us. after a very long. wait, we got a lamb chopper, kofta, two cubes, brot and chips. we called to see if we only get the wrong order to say that the mixed kebab was. we explained that this was not the description on the delivery website. he wasn't interested. we said we wanted salat, he said he thought chips were better! no excuse and refused to replace or reimburse. it was dry and cold. not happy!

Really lovely meal but massively let down by slow service. Friday night out was not v busy. One waiter serving all tables. He was v polite friendly, we waited 45 mins for our food. When people finished their meals paid plates were...left on.the tables. Just need another person to serve/in the kitchen? (One couple left as they waited so long without being given drink or have their order taken) I really wanted to love this place but the service was lacking...
