The Royal Oak - Oxford

Love this place. Helped by very good beers . Wonderful beer garden.too are interesting in a good way , don’t expect aircon! Food is unfussy but excellent, all set in a quintessential English village

Came for the first time today and had a lovely experience! Lorcan was very helpful and the halloumi fries were delectable

I’ve heard that there is a Michelin one-star restaurant in Oxford. Their signature dish is a large roast chicken, but it’s only available on weekends, not on weekdays. The restaurant has a beautiful environment, though the service and taste are just average. Overall, it’s a somewhat nice-looking British restaurant. The burgers are almost the same as those at other places. The sandwiches look good and are quite large. The only surprise is the chocolate brownie, with ice cream on top and a warm egg base underneath, creating a contrast of hot and cold, though it’s a bit too sweet overall. At average £25 per person, it’s a relatively cost-effective restaurant.

Visited the Royal Oak for a light dinner with a visitor to Oxford. The service behind the bar is always fantastic. It gets extremely busy in there so would recommend booking and expect a lively louder atmosphere.
