Redstone American Grill - Oxon Hill

My husband and I had been there before but it was much better this time around. We got seated at the window with the view of the water. It was comfortable and we an amazing server. She smiled from the time she came to greet us and made us feel welcome. We started with the steak egg rolls, which were delicious and crunchy and juicy. The sauce compliment them perfectly. We both ordered whiskey smashes which did not disappoint. I enjoyed the grilled sea bass/ garlic butter topping with Basmati rice and pineapple salsa...Delicious!!! My husband completely enjoyed the rib eye steak with the blue cheese crust and two servings of the brussel sprouts. We will definitely be back more often.

We were a group of 6- 9-83 yrs old. Our server checked with us on how we wanted our food- even asked if we wanted our salad dressing in the side or tossed with the greens. There were several large parties near us which made it hard to hear. Our food from burgers to salad entrees to chicken nuggets was superb. Two people had dessert- amazing- and large pieces of key lime pie and chocolate mousse cake, which made sharing easy. A great luncheon was had by all.

Excellent venue and atmosphere for an afternoon lunch with friends. We had a perfect day with sunshine and a nice breeze on the patio and our waitress was excellent and very attentive.

Our server, was okay, extremely overwhelmed with massive amounts of tables. He took our drink and appetizer orders swiftly, however the server who came out with them gave us the wrong order, no drinks and by time she circled back 10-15 minutes had passed by. The waiter addressed the issue while taking our entree order and again the server came back with a cold platter of buffalo shrimp that we initially ordered with our entrees. Needless to say, I'm sure we received the same plate as the kitchen was closing soon. The waiter said he would discount the appetizer for the inconvenience which he did. The entrees had wrong sides, and my salmon was charred to a brisquet. My nieces hamburger was burnt and the bread was soggy and had a soapy taste to it. No deserts offered, just a bill. I've been here several times but I can't give them my money any further. This used to be a really nice establishment but it's gone downhill and more like a Friday's.

We were seated outside by the bar. I'm not sure if that impacted the service but I thought I'd mention that. Took forever for our food to come out. Server was hardly anywhere to be seen. They up charged us for asparagus but my husband didn't get them. The only saving grace was the view of the water and the food was pretty good.
