Feedback gevenWe had a fantastic and affordable meal at this restaurant. After enjoying a delicious Royal platter of starters, we were so full we could hardly move. The duck, pepper steak, and beef pho were all amazing. For dessert, we tried the banana cake with caramel and nuts, which was reminiscent of pudding. The owner, Iny, even treated us to a vegan ice cream made by a friend, which the kids loved. The service, food quality, and value were all excellent. We're thrilled to have discovered this hidden gem.
The setting is really lovely, however sadly the food is a real let down. I recently had a fish burger with a cheap bun and plastic cheese. No good
I had booked a party on the busiest night of the year for a reason – to enjoy the lively atmosphere. However, the experience fell short. The meals arrived inconsistently and were disappointingly small. There was no discernible flavor. The staff, though young and attentive, seemed overwhelmed. Despite our feedback about the portion sizes, we were only compensated with a small amount of free chips and a bottle of house wine. While I understand the challenges of a busy night, the management should ensure that customers receive what they pay for in terms of quality and quantity. The Royal Hotel's attempt at customer satisfaction was lacking.
The Royal is a staple spot among locals in Paddington. Good vibes and an terrace with amazing views over the city make this a winner. Food is also good.
Run of the mill food to be honest but the surroundings are nice and good place to catch up with friends etc although you pay a premium for the location me thinks.
