I tried the coconut based ice cream, which was decent. Although it's a bit pricey and not mind-blowing, it's definitely worth trying at least once just to see them in action!
When they visit craving the curls, they go in to find a line of ice rolls. they can observe how they roll their ices, which is a fun experience. they have a coconut-based ice that is decent. pricey and will not blow off their socks, but it is definitiv something that everyone should try once to only see how they do their thing!
Solid 2 stars. I went for my first experience there a couple of weeks ago. It is cool to see them roll the ice cream. They are very slow. It takes a while to get your ice cream. Which I am completely understanding about. There were a few things that bothered me. First, I ordered coffee addict rolled ice cream! I was really excited about it because it’s kind of hard to mess up coffee ice cream. I have it at so many ice cream shops. Y’all, the only thing I tasted was Hershey chocolate syrup! There was absolutely no coffee flavor to the ice cream. The second thing that is inexcusable is the fact that the employee asked me what topping I wanted and I said “I’d like toasted marshmallow please”. She rolled her eyes at me as if it was SO inconvenient for her to toast my marshmallow! I really could care less if she had toasted 100 marshmallows that day and didn’t want to see another one but that is part of her job. It was highly rude of her to roll her eyes at me and stand there and stare at me for a solid 5 seconds before proceeding to huff and stomp away to grab the skewer for the marshmallow. Needless to say I was not impressed.
Delicious ice cream with fun toppings you can add. With a new owner having taken over I can tell the customer service and overall experience has already improved. I can't wait to see how this place evolves in the future.
Rolled ice cream is a weird flex for this town, but the shop is quite pleasant, with a brick-walled space and an owner somewhat amusingly trying to keep the kids working here on track. The general way rolled ice cream works is that you start with one basic cream and it gets combined with things on a cold plate before being made into rolls. This place has a wide flavor selection with some seasonal specials. You can also get a waffle cone, an ice cream shake, and one or two other variations. In addition to whatever is in the initial preparation, a free toppings bar awaits at the end, so load up on fruits and nuts. They do have a vegan coconut cream option. The mint chip I ordered looked pretty cool, but it was not so much mint with a little bit of chocolate flavor as chocolate with a little bit of mint flavor. Despite the green color, it wasn't as minty as I had hoped. It certainly was good, and I probably should have gotten even more fruit than I did. Some of their other combinations looked very appealing, and perhaps the mint flavor is simply not their best one, but even given that, I was certainly satisfied.
