We were recommended to eat here by the owners of Chateau Fauchey where we were stopping overnight. There were six of us and we were made very welcome indeed. The food was great and the atmosphere excellent. Most enjoyable.Plenty of parking over the road.I would certainly go there again.
We've dined and lunched here many times over the years. But at the moment, we're disapointed. the choise of the entrees are less. The portions for the maincourse are to small. You have to ask for a second helping, but then you have to pay extra. The desserts are ok. Nevertheless, quality is still very good. But, if they are continiung this way, they are going to loose clients.
Revisited Cafe de la Liberte several times over the last 6 months and it has never missed the mark.It gets busier every time we go, and their growing popularity and success is well deserved. This is creative and interesting food that helped to give France it's reputation as a foodie haven, and which has been disappearing outside the Michelin star restaurants.A buffet starter which is varied, and which has new dishes each time we go, rather than the usual store bought selections, and we have not struck the same main courses in the 6 times we have visited. This last time they served us a seafood stew which was excellent, and there is always a choice of 4 mains, so suits all palates.Service is pleasant, friendly and efficient.Wine list is varied enough for all budgets, and parking easy across the road. The fixed lunch menu is incredibly good value for the buffet, main, dessert and coffee.Despite usually reserving a 5* rating for the Michelins, I am increasing my last rating for their commitment to providing really good food at reasonable prices, with great service and consistency. I feel this is the best quality and value restaurant in the entire SE area outside Bordeaux.
Have now had a lunch and a dinner at this lively bar/rest/epicerie and doesn't disappoint.Good buffet for lunch starter with a selection of mains. Set menu very good value.Dinner set menus are varied and not expensive for 3 courses. My Camembert entree and confit de canard were both very good, as was the cheese plate.Local wine selection reasonable and service timely and helpful.Easy parking across road, and they have a terrace for summer (if we actually have one this year).
