The guests were a mixture of couples, families with small children, business groups, a lot of 'locals', which is always a good sign. Excellent food. I had fish of the day - simply but superbly-cooked. Fresh bread was replenished. A delicious vegetable dish which seemed to be a mixture of samphire, slivers of raw courgette and.... something else. The service was friendly and efficient.
This is supposedly one of the oldest creperies in the city My husband and I went on a recommendation from a local.
Very tasty food. try the "galette" with a bolee of cidre brut.
Reading some of the other poor reviews, I can't believe l went to the same restaurant. Situated in what used to be known as the Cotriade Restaurant, on the opposite side of the harbour to most of the restaurant and bars, I would say that this is a cut above the other harbour restaurants and is well worth seeking out. Whilst fish features on their menus, they shy away from the "fruit de mer" type menu going for tastily cooked dishes with attractive presentation. We had foi-gras on a bed of edible algue (seaweed) followed by a squid risotto and the deserts were to die for. The restaurant has been completely re-furbished in a smart, clean modern style, service was efficient and prices reasonable, our 3 course lunch, with amusee was 35€, the menu du jour was around 20€ and other set menus started at 25€. The only minus was a restricted wine list, my guess is that the restaurant has only recently opened and this may improve with time and experience.
