I went to Betty's Burgers & Concrete Co for lunch with my colleagues. Since there were six of us, we had to wait until some tables opened up.
The entrance of this establishment is very welcoming, and the interior atmosphere is delightful.
After a day out we came across #Betty's, formally Café 91. The most amazing, largest home made ice-cream with real fruit was our reward. And value for money! As we had filled ourselves with the ice-cream we took home home-made sausage rolls and pasties - all the result of "Grandma Betty's" recipes. The pastry was flaky and the filling tasty. Well worth a visit when you've finished with Puffing Billy.
Just by chance, while out driving and looking for somewhere to buy an ice-cream, we came across Betty's. What a delight! The very friendly owner was keen to share her new enterprise with us by making the biggest, and cheapest, homemade flavoured ice-cream in a cone! Her homemade pastries and slices are baked according to her Grandma Betty's old fashioned recipes. The meat pasties and ricotta cheese and spinach rolls were a very generous size, the pastry light and crisp. So next time you head off to Puffing Billy, make sure you find your way up Main Street and head into Betty's for a truly wonderful treat!
