There is no waiting area, so it is recommended to call ahead or come in smaller groups. The menu is extensive, offering healthy options as well as classic dishes, including a special stuffed waffle with marscapone cheese, berries, and whipped cream. The only downside is the lack of a kids' menu, except for a giant pancake stack with Nutella, Oreos, and candy toppings that may be too much for younger children. However, the hot chocolate served in a mason jar glass with whipped cream and sprinkles is a hit with adults. The staff is friendly and attentive, despite the tight space they work in. This cafe has exceeded expectations, with smaller adult parties enjoying the diverse menu offerings. Larger groups with children may need to be patient and come prepared with crayons and coloring books to enjoy the sweet treats on offer.
I highly recommend this restaurant with its wonderful, friendly staff and delicious diner-style food. My son and I love it here, especially the pancake specials. He's also starting to enjoy the coffee specials, which the staff has fun with. It's a great place to visit.
If you're looking for delicious food and a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere, then you will definitely enjoy Cafe Fourteen. Despite only recently discovering this gem, my family and I have quickly become regulars. The restaurant is always bustling, but the wait time is manageable and the staff greets you warmly upon arrival. Our server, Ashley, was attentive and courteous, swiftly taking our orders and serving our meals. While I have yet to try the lunch options, the breakfast dishes are consistently top-notch. The restaurant is adorned with an abundance of plants, which adds to its charm, although I would suggest moving some of them away from the hostess table. My only gripe is that dogs are allowed inside the restaurant, which I find unappetizing. Allowing dogs on the outdoor patio is understandable, but inside dining areas should remain pet-free.
If you're looking for a breakfast spot with a great atmosphere, this restaurant is the place to go! The price per person ranges from $10 to $20, which is reasonable for the delicious food they offer. The Western dishes are highly recommended, and there is plenty of parking available in the free parking lot. The service could use some improvement, but overall, this restaurant is worth a visit for a satisfying meal.
I ordered the green chilaquiles and they lacked flavor. They were overly salty and unappetizing. The egg was not cooked properly and the hash browns were also too salty and lacked seasoning. The only redeeming dish was the Nutella crepes, which had an amazing taste. However, I was disappointed that they did not provide utensils. Overall, I was not impressed and would give a rating of 3.5 out of 5.
