BE AWARE BEFORE YOU EAT HERE. The attitude of the owners (3 of them from Eastern Europe) is DISGRACEFUL. So after reading the reviews and seemingly having many vegan options, I thought let’s give it a try. They don’t really... they have oatmeal, veggie burger, some other thing they didn’t have available and salad. So we wanted the veggie burger but with tofu on the side for protein because we’d barely eaten anything. The waitress said that’s okay, but then the owner called her over and when she told the owner what we wanted she made a face as though we were weirdos for ordering this (not realising it was us beside her and then realised and came over and said they can’t do that because the chef doesn’t know how to prepare tofu. To be honest, that’s not what I care about. It is the way they speak to their staff. It is disgusting. We witnessed it the whole time we were sat down, they actually made the waitress cry and I bet that’s a common occurrence. They talk to their staff in such a degrading and disrespectful way, as though they’re lower than them. You can’t come over here to another country and hire cheap labour only to treat like dirt!! I was so so sad for the waitress, they had given us great service. We decided not to order because of this reason and left. We got a shake and that was it before all this happened. When I went to pay, the waitress said I’m very sorry mam with a shaky voice and clearly tears in her eyes, and I said do not worry at all!!! This is not your fault and I do not like the way they speak to you. Because it’s not right that she thinks it’s okay for them to treat her like that. That clearly meant a lot to her and I just hope they find other jobs that treat them better like actual human beings! They’re locals, hired by these westerners (I’m western too) who come over and fair enough you want to create a business, but do not think you can treat people like this in their own country and get away with it. We’ll never come back to your business and I URGE people NOT to eat here if you value human decency. I felt like I had to write a review!! I was shocked!! Don’t buy into the “chilled” vibe advertised, they are living a lie while creating a very very hostile and awkward atmosphere. Especially since we were sitting right beside them while they were talking down to their staff.... Again DO NOT RECOMMEND. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE AND SUPPORT OTHERS INSTEAD!!!
They love eating and the melodies at this place, they sit safely up! came a few times here and every time that the eating was yum, although I would say that the burgerpatty on the veggie burger is quite dry (before they crush it in ketchup). rice paper rolls, fruit smoothes and mushroom creamy pasta are definitely unforgettable. oh! and they have free wlan, but it works sometimes only (but this is port barton for ya haaaaaaa)
Only wow, I was fought to find good and tasty food on the philippines (also as vegetarian, not vegan). this food here is fresh and well seasoned, it was a really nice experience to eat here too. Thank you. 5 stars are not allowed by happycow because this restaurant is not a fully vegetarian/veganes restaurant. but the only non-veggie ding I saw was the tuna sandwich.
Because it has a limited number of restaurants in port barton, mabuti eat and chill made its way into my rotation at my second day of seven. To be honest, I came by to see if their WiFi network was as good as other internet evaluators said it was. It is not: I have always separated from Google apps. I ordered her fruit shakes with all three fruits that they had provided (i.e. bananas, mango and ananas) with soy milk. it tasted refreshing and not too sweet. they were made of lump, avocado, veggie burger and tomatenpasta, so that excluded many of their limited vegan items. (I guess this is the problem of being on an island and getting ingredients external at the end I went with their vegan creamy mushroom pasta, which was beautifully done and was full of mushrooms. the seats are all in the open, and they can either sit in front or upward. the service is normal for the philippines: they must fly the waiter to get everything. in the morning there was a lot of flying at 09:00-11:00, which was quite annoying.
