The pool had scum on the tile, not calcium but body oil and lotions. It should be scrubbed daily and mold was everywhere around the pool. The last river was also missing tiles. The pools are in desperate need of a remodel. Mild also on the stucco all over. We are from north east Florida so we know what the rain and filth of bodies oils do but it’s a resort and should be cleaned daily like every other resort does. Also the site needs some coding updating. We booked a cabana and it allowed us to accidentally book it for the same day at 8:00 pm. Then we went to cancel it gave no link but gave us email addresses that were returned undeliverable. We booked again for the next day and had to wait to talk someone in the am. That could be a easy fix technically.
I like this place! We just stayed a full week and last summer we stayed a weekend. Last year, we stayed at the villas. This year, the main tower. I liked both, but my husband's knees have gotten bad, so it's more practical for us to stay in the tower. The villas are super nice though. My family will definitely visit again. It takes a few visits to learn how everything works. Check in and out were very smooth and took only 10-15 minutes. Denise and Ron were beyond amazing at helping us with packing and unpacking our things! The resort customer service was great. Also, if your kids are 4 and up, you can have a 4 hour break for some alone time thanks to the kids crew. My daughter had a blast! She was glowing. The restaurants are good and the atmosphere is very family oriented. The pizza is AMAZING. I wrote a separate 5 star review for Atlantic Grille. So yummy! This place really has it ALL and it's a great place to stay! We never left and enjoyed the pools all week long. The pools are so great, the slide is fun for kids 48 inches and taller, the lazy river is cool, there's an adult only pool, and there's a beach pool! My husband made the comment that we should stay here once a year, so maybe. We really enjoyed our stay and we were sad to leave.Rooms: Clean and presentable with king beds in all three bedrooms, I was impressed. I'm not sure if all rooms have king beds, but ours did. We only had one sofa that sat three. Then, 2 lobby style chairs. A sectional would've been much better. We couldn't really sit in the living room together. Our showerhead needed an update as it was 20 years old. Small gripe. The master bed needs a new mattress because the right side was like a slide that you'd slide off of. I had to sleep with my kids. Please look into that. The only other thing was that we had to scrub the kitchen faucet because it was caked with black mold. I was washing my toddler's hands and the flakes of black mold were falling on her. I know that's easy to overlook, so I wanted to remind you. I didn't complain, and we scrubbed it really well. Overall, the rooms have been very nice both times we've stayed.Safety: Very safe feeling the entire time! My kids ran off a few times at the pool and I didn't panic at all.Walkability: Everything is in walking distance, it's so convenient. You can also catch a golf cart ride!Food drinks: Delicious food and great adult beverages. Kevin is a great bartender! Renee was helpful too!
This is a torn review. To me it either 5 stars or stars on everything. The amenities the club offers are fantastic. The pool area , the restaurants and the golf courses are outstanding. The staff servicing these facilities are fantastic. 5 stars all around. The issue is inside the hotel. It is not a “resort”. Its a club and it offers rooms to use the club amenities. The front desk had very limited knowledge on details about the resort . The staff inside were very nice but were , in many cases ,no help to questions we had about the resort. The concierge gave us wrong info on dining, was not able to get reservations over 6 people (although he gave me a number to call) , could not tell me where to buy bottle of pop on site (no vending machines or market type store on site). Morning of tee times at one of the resort courses there was no valet and after waiting for one to show he slowly strolled away to locate our car . Our room was very large but very dated as were many areas inside the hotel areas. If you are looking to join a beach/golf club in the palm coast area i think this is definitely worth a look. If you are looking for a beach resort vacation i would look at other properties as the hotel service is not top notch.
This was the first time I have ever been to Hammock Beach and overall I had a great experience. There were a couple of things that I do think could be improved like the resort itself is a little dated and could use some updates especially with the price that the rooms are going for, the resort does not flow, there are no cabanas on the beach, the pool area is fairly small for the amount of people/rooms that is on the resort, the lazy river needs to be cleaned you can see a ring around the pool on the tiles and the floating tubes needs to be cleaned or swapped out. I went with a group of people that works with my company and some people had issues with getting into there rooms and had to wait at the least 25 minutes to get a room. It is a beautiful place but things do need to be worked out.Rooms: Nice and spaciousNoteworthy details: Make sure you get everything you need before going to the resort because the only thing close is a publix.
Lovely resort right on the ocean. Had a nice large and clean room with a wonderful ocean view. We had a balcony and kept the doors open to enjoy the ocean breeze. The sunrises were phenomenal! There's also a golf course, spa, and a few restaurants on site.Rooms: Very clean and wonderful viewsWalkability: Can stay on property the entire visitFood drinks: Delicious options on site
