Vivo Bar and Grill - PALM COVE

Our first night in Palm Cove and so tired from flights but this place was AWESOME!! Saturday night around 8 fairly busy and we just walked up and scored a great table outside. Service was efficient

We went there based on trip advisor ratings but were very disappointed. Service was very slow. Asked waitress a number of times where our main courses were only to be told it was next and should be less than 5 minutes. After 15 minutes of waiting went to manager who said same thing. Finally after 1.5 after we sat down we finally got our main courses. No apologies from any of the staff for the slow service.

I have reviewed Vivo before but haven't been back for three years. Ohhow we've missed it . Same gorgeous friendly staff with Italian flavour. Same brilliant coffee and we had the best lunch and dinner here. The sea bream was the best! We always take a deep breath, gaze at the ocean and relax completely whilst indulging our palates. Thank you guys for making our holiday in Palm Cove so fabulous.

With such glowing reports we visited this restaurant with high expectations. Unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Service was slow. We also felt that there was a push to purchase more from the expensive wine list as we waited for our food to arrive. Although the presentation was lovely, for the price we were disappointed in general with our meals - lamb, san choy bow (which was actually a reasonable price), fish and I can't recall the other dish ordered. Would not return.

Healthy breakfast menu, coffee was great, Our dinner was beautiful and reasonable priced. Relaxed atmosphere and a great view of the beach. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming. Great place to sit, relax, eat and enjoy the views.
