Whenever I'm in Palm Springs, I always make a point to dine at Spencer's. Whether you're going for dinner, lunch or brunch, their extensive menu has a wide assortment of choices. The food is delicious, the service is impeccable and the ambiance makes it one of the best restaurants in the Palm Springs area. It's my personal favorite!
My husband and I went to Spencer's for Sunday brunch for a change from our usual place. We both ordered gazpacho soup as starters, which was just ok, and different main courses. We were barely half done with our gazpachos when a server arrived with our entrées. He then moved a few items on our table to make a large enough space to put the plates down and then he left. To say we felt rushed is an understatement, never mind they weren't all that busy. (Even Denny's waits until your done with your salad before delivering your next course. To top off that negative experience, when I started eating my Niçoise salad, I realized that several of the greens were wilted. For all of this, our bill came to nearly $100. I would've expected superior service for that kind of money.
Spencer's is our most favorite restaurant when we visit Palm Springs every year! Always great food, wonderful service, beautiful setting....we're never disappointed. Looking forward to going back several times before we have to leave at the end of June.
Spencer 's is always reliably good and staff seems to care about your experience. I learned recently about their shrimp cocktail and have had it twice recently. HIGHLY recommended as a starter or main dish. Four of the biggest shrimp I 've ever seen. Almost like a small lobster tail each. Very fresh, tastes like the ocean. Kudos since we are in the desert! I 've never been disappointed at Spencers and a big plus off season when the crowds are gone!
