We were taken to this 'restaurant ' as guests of Jet2.com who had delayed our take off from Palma Airport on Saturday May 25th 2013. We had not eaten anything for 9 hours by the time this was arranged and we got there, by coach, at around 5pm with approximately 80 other people. This place is situated at the back of an industrial area near the airport and looked very tired and shabby on first appearance. There was a scruffy man smoking in the doorway who threw his cigarette onto the floor when we arrived. We all walked threw his smoke haze and into an unlit (beyond natural light) room with tables and chairs and a servery area at the back. The floor was not clean and we discovered there was also no electricity in the building. There was a long row of metal catering trays containing greasy, fried food and some dry looking paella. A fly was paying lots of attention to this which I didnt take as a good sign. The food had obviosly been bought in from somewhere else and on another table were cartons of desserts and yoghurts and some fruit. After a long queue and trying to pick something decent for our two children to eat we found many plates had dried food on them or had not been properly washed, ditto the cutlery. After making our choice we sat in what i will loosely describe as a conservatory area as it had outside light and open windows to blow away the smell of fried food. After a while we noticed an increasingly strong smell of TCP and for about half an hour wondered what this was. Had they tried to clean?? Then a memeber of staff began to hurry us all out of this room, saying Bad, Hazard, you must not breathe . The smell was acutally harmful fumes coming from a faulty air conditioning unit behind us and we had been breathing them in for some time! We decided to sit outside and took the children (8 and 11) to the toilets on the way. Because there was no power, the toilet room was pitch black with the cubicle doors shut and then we found that there was also no toilet paper, urine on the floor of the cubicles and worse, no running water in the taps!! When I complained to a waitress she told me the staff were also using these toilets, so she knew about it. To discover that the staff serving food, handling cutlery and glasses etc, had been going tot he toilet and not washing their hands was pretty much the last straw. We waited outside until the coach came an hour later and took us back to the airport for more farcial Jet2 customer dis-service. Generally, we had a pretty terrible experience with Jet2 and the poor and chaotic way they handled our 11 hour delay. They dont seem to have a good system in place to handle simple things like signing off repairs and getting people going again, taking care of customers and giving them access to water and food etc, but this restaurant was the absolute low point by a mile. It was just a run down, probably disused, fried food joint and nothing like the nice hotel for lunch courtesy of us , we were promised. I would be interested to know if people were ill after eating here. I would certainly not be surprised. Nobody was happy in our whole group and if this place is actually operating, PLEASE avoid it at all costs.
I don't think I repeated, it was my second time, I wanted to give them another chance, the truth, that for me it's not worth it, there's a lot of good food, but friedness and quality, so they loaded it I didn't find it in height, not to say low
There was a lot of fritanga and varied food without too much to stand out.
Great service and price of quality ratio not to say that you always have goo-events of all the public, there is no excuse!
Everything was very rich... well... everything I've eaten... 14 euros the buffet
