This was one of the very first restaurants i visited in my quest to try different cuisines.<br/ <br/ Entry is fine, but then you enter into another room.. and it feels like you have entered another world.. a small town kind.. where everyone is happy and is enjoying their food. The staff is very polite and friendly and they help you choose your dish if you ask them.<br/ <br/ I ordered 'Caribbean Curry ' (as i am vegetarian) and my friend ordered 'Arroz Con Pollo '. My dish was fine, but he enjoyed his dish.<br/ <br/ Little overpriced, but the feel of the place is what took all the worth.<br/ <br/ Must visit once atleast.
Mojitos and Plantains. The mojitos here are great, but they waiver a bit depending on who the bartender is that week. Our favorite bartender left for Paris last year and they haven't quite been the same since. Nonetheless, they are still the best mojitos in town and the plantains are great! Had dinner there once and wasn't impressed, but mojitos and plantains for snacks are great.
Mmmm... mojito. Great mojitos! Even has a cigar bar.
Unfortunately, I have to give this restaurant a star. I have Cuban cuisine in Miami and LA, and this place was so far away that there is no comparison. The croquettas had only potatoes in them. The $16 Shrimp Ceviche was the size of a teacup. The Yuca horses were $8 for 6 small, non-crispy-at-all pieces. The pig sheds were extremely dry. The only saving grace was a decent, but not exciting, ropa vieja. The taste profiles in all dishes were best moderate. I'd better watch a YouTube tutorial. Cherry above? 5% fee (yes per cent) to eat in the restaurant and at least 18% tip on their standard tip options. Lol, no.
