Employees (with some exceptions) are grim. Earlier in the pandemic, they were very slow to take security measures among employees. Many times they are from what I need. The store is small, so the inventory is more limited not its fault. But it is not always efficient to shop there for this reason. The worst are with anticoagulant rodentides around the building, the tormenting deaths not only to rodents, but also to all wild and local knights that catch and eat them. Birds, cats, etc. Do not support this store and these practices.
After visiting this local safeway store my husband and I left disappointed with the service and attitude of the employee who helped us. Our receipt was incorrect and when my husband showed it to the representative she scanned the item and the same incorrect price came up, so she proceeded to check the shelf and had us wait. It was priced incorrectly and we were given back in cash $1.98. I then said what about giving us a gift card for the error in pricing, however, the representative ignored me and we left. I was still feeling annoyed and when I went home I called the main number of the store trying to get to speak to a manager. I had to go through the meat dept. extension in order to get a manager on the phone, and when I finally did I got the same person who helped us in the store, Betty, who said she was the manager. This is not about the money it is about the poor quality of customer service and their attitude, despite that I was told I could come back and pick up a gift card, I find this unacceptable customer service. I hate that this is our local store, and recommend you go to another grocery store if you can.
Rudest treatment I've ever had in any grocery. I've been a Safeway customer for decades, in multipke locations, but I will never set foot in this one again.
Shopped at this Safeway for 30+ years. They make good use of a small space and are usually well-stocked with full shelves (the first few weeks of the pandemic were an exception, and to be expected). The sushi chef is fantastic, and I love his creations and his willingness to make whatever combo I want. The floral dept. has exceptionally healthy plants for bargain prices. Only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is that occasionally refrigerated items are past their expiration date. A couple weeks ago, all 5 packages of 5-Spice tofu were 2+ weeks past the expiration date. Also, in the last 2 delivery orders, the quart cartons of Lucerne fat-free milk were 1 day away from expiration.
