We tried Outback after many years at this location in Panama City. I really liked this location because the service and food were both great! We started with their old fashioned drink, and it was very good. Their complimentary bread is always delicious. For appetizers, we started with their three cheese steak dip. It was pretty good. See photos below. Then we ordered their Toowooba salmon, which is their grilled salmon with seasoned shrimp and mushroom in a creamy sauce. What I like about outback is that you are not just limited to steaks. You have good choices of seafood such as salmon and lobster. We also tried their perfectly grilled salmon, which comes with grilled salmon with some veggies and rice. Instead of rice, I substituted for mashed potatoes. The service was great and our server was attentive. The inside of the place looked nice too. The restaurant is nicely maintained and we would visit this location again to try other things on the menu! See photos below.
Seated right away. The place is busy. The bathroom (women's) was very dirty. This was 1/7 at 2pm. We ordered a blooming onion and it was really greasy when it came out. The wife ordered the ribeye steak and it was very good. I ordered a chicken breast, breaded and fried and it was also cooked right...nice and juicy.
Ah, Outback Steakhouse in Panama City, where the wait time is as surprising as finding a kangaroo in your backyard! I recently ventured into this carnivorous oasis and, to my astonishment, only had to twiddle my thumbs for a mere 15 minutes. Talk about a speedy steakhouse! Now, let 's give a shoutout to the server who was as attentive as a hawk eyeing its prey. They swooped in quicker than a kangaroo on a sugar rush, ready to take our orders and keep the steak-loving show on the road. It 's like they had a sixth sense for detecting hungry patrons. Bravo, server, bravo! Moving on to the appetizers, the house salad with honey mustard dressing was a pleasant green surprise. However, I couldn 't help but yearn for a little more dressing action. It was like going to a salsa dance party and only getting to sway back and forth. Come on, Outback, let 's salsa it up with that honey mustard goodness! Now, let 's talk about the coconut shrimp--a true hero of the Outback menu. It never fails to deliver a tropical vacation for my taste buds. Crispy, succulent, and bursting with coconutty goodness, these little seafood delights deserve a standing ovation. They 're like a party in your mouth, complete with palm trees and tiny shrimp maracas. The main event, the medium rare sirloin, stole the show with its perfectly cooked juiciness. It was a carnivorous masterpiece, as if the steak fairy herself had blessed it with her grilling wand. Each bite was a tender and flavorful experience that made me want to jump on the table and shout, I have found steak paradise! However, the baked potato, alas, was a bit of a dry disappointment. It needed some love in the form of more butter and sour cream. It was like eating a potato-shaped desert without the oasis of dairy goodness. Outback, unleash the buttery river and let the sour cream clouds rain down upon the humble spud! As for the ambience, well, let 's just say it 's not exactly the serene Australian Outback you might envision. It 's more like a rowdy kangaroo party with laughter and chatter filling the air. But hey, you knew what you signed up for, right? The lively atmosphere is part of the Outback experience, where conversations blend into a cacophony of steak-loving banter. So, if you 're in Panama City and craving a steak adventure that 'll surprise you with its speedy seating, attentive service, and a medium rare sirloin that 'll make your taste buds tango, head on over to Outback Steakhouse. Just don 't forget to pack your own butter and sour cream for the baked potato desert expedition. And prepare yourself for a lively kangaroo party that 'll leave you smiling and satiated. Cheers to a deliciously wild dining experience!
Arrived at 4:30 for my wife's birthday dinner. Greeted promptly by Cara our waitress. Ordered an appetizer of coconut shrimp and we each went with our usual iced tea. Cara brought out some bread and our tea and we both ordered fillet mignon and lobster tail for our main course. I ordered broccoli and a side salad with caesar dressing and for her it was a baked potato with a side salad and caesar dressing. Coconut shrimp appetizer was good albeit a bit on the oily side. The 8 shrimp were large and tasted good. The server was a bit mixed up about which one of us ordered what but we figured it out. Steaks were good as well as the lobster tails. Pretty small tails, guessing around 3 oz. Not convinced that the yellow liquid that accompanied the lobster was actually butter. We got there early enough that it was pretty quiet but by the time we left there was a waiting list for seating. Cara stopped by once to see if everything was alright but never refilled my iced tea. Knocked $2.00 off the tip because of that. Will quite likely return, mostly because the Mrs seems to like this place and I don't think it's terrible.
