The Place Downtown - Panama City

First time there, I was a little disappointed with my sandwich, bread was burnt on one side, that's all you could taste, and it could have used a little more sauce on it. I will return, give it another try.

First time eating there tonight.Good food.Friendly staff.Will definitely be back again.

So... I rarely review on here. I will tell you that The Place Downtown is an incredible local restaurant/pub for us locals and tourists. Very few places will I vouche for and this Place is one of Bay County's favorites.

Glad their food and service is up to par, but the people running the place are not good people. They literally fired an employee after a mental health episode where he kept in constant contact and kept the manager updated. She then said he didn't have a job and expects him to be able to afford the care for his mental health. I hope they know mental health issues run under disabilities. Which it is illegal to fire someone due to disabilities. News station have been alerted to this as well. Do better.

Disappointment from start to finish. The fish platter $15.95 one piece of slimy swai fish with 2 mushy quarter size hush puppies and fries. Served on a small side dish and store bought tarter sauce. The restaurant is dark and dirty looking with a really bad sewer like smell.
