Food is awful. The pizza was weirdly sweet and the ingredients tasted cheap and nasty. Couldn't get through half of it before giving up. Also tried their cucumber shake but it tasted like they put 6 tablespoons of sugar in it. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
The food at Alberto's is tasty, with great prices and friendly staff. However, the employees at this location tend to be very loud, joking and screaming at each other, which can be overwhelming. As a foreigner, it's important to know that the sausage and pepperoni taste more like hot dog slices. I prefer to stick to ordering the Hawaiian pizza without the hotdog slices. Make sure to specifically request mozzarella cheese, as they use a quick melt cheese otherwise. Additionally, Filipino marinara sauce tends to be on the sweet side, so the sweet pineapple on the Hawaiian pizza helps balance it out.
Initially, I thought the pizza smelled average. But when I tasted it, oh my, it was stale! I went back to the store and shared my experience, but they did not offer a replacement or any solution. I used to love their pizza but this experience was truly disappointing.
I have been a fan of Alberto's in Cebu, but I was disappointed with the branch in Tagbilaran due to poor customer service. It would be beneficial for them to improve their staff or at least their customer service skills. When making a delivery, they should notify customers when they are on their way. Additionally, unlike other Alberto's branches in Cebu, this location is not open 24/7.
