I requested a medium cream sherry which was initially unavailable, but our waiter went above and beyond to find it and surprised me with a unique swirl. We ended the evening with a decadent cheesecake served in a jar, which was a burst of flavors as you dug deep into the layers. Aarya was bustling with a steady stream of customers celebrating various occasions and enjoying the delicious food that Deena Naidoo and his restaurant have become known for. I highly recommend it.

I had the pleasure of dining at Deena Naidoo's restaurant, Aarya, at Monte Casino on Saturday evening. Deena Naidoo, South Africa's 1st Master Chef, recommended his trio of curries: butter chicken, Durban prawn curry, and mixed bean and potato curry. The butter chicken had a delicate creamy flavor and perfectly cooked chicken pieces. The prawn curry was subtly flavored with a rich tomato gravy and the right amount of spice. The mixed bean and potato curry was authentically flavored and the beans and potato melted in the mouth. The staff were attentive and our waiter even went the extra mile to source a medium cream sherry for me, adding their own twist. For dessert, we enjoyed an upside down cheesecake served in a "kilner jar," offering a burst of flavors with each spoonful. Aarya was bustling with walk-in customers celebrating various occasions and enjoying the fantastic food that Deena Naidoo and his restaurant have become known for. I highly recommend a visit.
