Feedback gevenI pass by Le Lloyd’s whilst walking my dog nearly every day and finally met a friend there for lunch. We both had fish. It was uninspired and dull but fine. Service was initially friendly but slow for a neighborhood dominated by busy business folk. What was appalling and unacceptable was the their version of a “Cafe Gourmand.” Never seen anything likes this. For 11 euro comes a tiny plate with Del Monte-like minced fruit cup in a shot glass. Next to it was what can only be described as an ugly pile of stale crumbs- inexplicably broken bits of cookie that tasted not of yesterday but of last week. Plus a sliver of equally unadorned bad apple something (which BTW my companion tried to order but was told they didn’t have). We asked. Server became rude and dismissive with the old “Have you ever had a Gourmand?” Why, yes. Yes I have. Dozens. First, you don’t serve stale piles of crumbs. Second, Outside of a nursing home I’ve not seen a Del Monte-like shot glass of minced fruit anywhere near a French Gourmand. Normally there is a mousse or tarte or other bit of decadence — or all of the above. This was disgusting, criminally priced, and obviously thrown together lacking normal components (not even a dollop of cream to aid the cause). The server should have been ashamed and removed it from the bill. Instead she was rude and condescending at our mere question. So many places to eat in Paris and my neighborhood. This place is subpar and lacks integrity. Won’t return.
Away from the main thoroughfare this is the real deal Parisian dining experience...the tuna starter was pure melt in the mouth heaven, and the main course steak was a surgically portioned masterpiece. Didn't have time to indulge in the dessert menu, so two good reasons to return.
Small restaurant with very cozy and historic feeling. Food was really good and came quickly even to a large company (12 people). Pricing vs. food quality really great
Business partner brought me there and he said it's a classic restaurant open in year 1929. The restaurant was small with elegant table setting and full of flower decoration. There was only one waiting person. He's nice and professional. He could speak little English. I had the set menu with salmon tartar as entree and cod fish with mesh potato as main course. The fish was high quality and greatly cooked. The dessert was superb! The best was white chocolate mousse with red fruit. Price was ok too. Set menu just 49 euro.
