I am an american and I have been living in Paris for 5 years. I come to this store about twice a year to get american products that may be hard to find here, mainly pureed pumpkin. Products are very expensive even though now you can often find the same products in Monoprix for much less money. The hired staff us always helpful and kind but the owner is, well.... not very kind. Only in Paris can an american treat her customers so terrible and still be in business. My last experience was terrible and I will be taking my business to another american food store.
Les produits américains sont très très chers par rapport à la marge qu'ils se font. Surtout que les sauces et produits ne sont pas des meilleures marques américaines mais coûtent un prix démeusuré comparé à la qualité.
This is the only shop that is justified to have an English name on the street because they stock on American groceries extensively. Absolutely unrelated to another shop with English name nearby, but one can only hope that this Louisiana shop will one day start serving a real American brunch. I, for one, would become a regular.
The is a store, not a restaurant, small, but well stocked and kind of a kick to visit. The owner and her staff are friendly and helpful and have great advice ranging from how big a turkey to order, and that will fit a European oven, to what kind of sweet potatoes are best at the markets at the moment. The website is factual and complete, and makes a great resource to start your meal planning. Figure out your menu and the required ingredients, order your turkey ahead of time, get there early in the day to pick up what you need, and then don't worry about a thing, you're in good hands.
