The restaurant itself is quite small and tables do seem to be close to each other. Decor is simple...and minimal, with no real outstanding feature. However, having eaten in dozens of supposedly Tunisian restaurants, we can honestly say that this was by a long way, the most traditional and authentically served food. Chemia was great, couscous fluffy and delicate, all served with an abundance of meats and vegetables. The outstanding feature was that it was all fresh. None of the tired looking dishes served by many places. It was well worth visiting, but be aware that the prices are a bit on the high side. The tables are close to each other so no telling of any secrets). The service is quite quick and if going lunch time, be ready to be moved out before 3:00pm.
Been here lots of times. When we're in Paris and getting tired of restaurant food we go to dinner Au Rendezvous it's like having a home cooked meal. The appetizers are delicious, nothing very fancy but very good and the grilled fish we had...this time was excellent. We've never tried the couscous inchallah next time.
This is a Tunisian themed restaurant which looked like a normal brasserie, but upon sitting down and looking at the menu the prices are quite frankly shocking given the level of food that is being served. . We both had the plat du jour which...seemed reasonable in price at 18 Euro each and thought it would be a freshly made dish. A la carte dishes all seemed to be around the 40+ mark. The food served was basically stodge and vastly overcooked/stewed, We were served bowls of bland couscous and vegetables that were mush, topped off with a basket of hard French bread. The price of wine was also eye watering considering where we were. To put this in context, we love fine dining and do not mind paying for it. Two nights previously we ate at the Restaurant du Palais Royale which is truly excellent. We just could not recommend this restaurant under any circumstance. To put the nail in the coffin, the staff are surly, rude and unhelpful. How are they staying in business? As someone else has pointed out, they think they are a fine restaurant but are serving the worst food we have eaten in Paris.
1 347 of 20.12.2013, p. 1.) the fish had a coal taste due to the fact that they burned it. 2. the waiter service was bad and the waiter refused to answer to common questions. 3. the waiter brought us a part of the meat we didn't ask for...all, and demanded that we pay for it. 4. bad starter salate. 5. very expensive. In summary, you can find better restaurants and even save money.
