All furnishings were extremely worn looking. service was so that the waiter would not bring us serviette and told us to use the small serviette under our brot. minutes later he put serviettes on all other tables. we were. to the breakfast. the freshly squeezed orange juice was very good, but the rest was so.
After arriving hungry in Paris only a couple of houes before we set off in search of somewhere to eat. There are so many restaurants and cafe's in Paris we just decided to sit at the first one that appealed to us. The seating is...a bit worn and old but the staff were friendly and the service was prompt. Our meals arrived quickly and we were not disappointed. They were delicious, my husband ordered a medium rare steak which was cooked perfectly and I went for a more traditional confit of duck. We will definitely be back to this restaurant before our Paris visit ends.
Great choice on the menu, decent food and really helpful waiting staff. One day when we were there, we ordered croissants which weren't available, so the waiter went out to the shop to buy some for us. Not many places would do that. So much...respect to the man.
During a recent dinner, the service was fast, not friendly, just abrupt. I don't know if it was the owner who came in, but she read a letter to the director and they had a discussion that everyone could hear. Halfway through my dinner, I noticed a mouse near my feet, then another, and so on. I quickly asked for my bill because I suspected I saw half a dozen mice. I know paris is old and there are mice. but seeing them run so freely in a restaurant is quite disturbing and raises questions about so many things. The food was correct but the chicken was a little hard and cold fries. I just think there are so many other options.
