The food was delicious, the owner (Celine) gave us a warm welcome and the street on which the restaurant is located is lively and charming. We had the Entrecote and Steaktare, both were ready for perfection. The mi Cuit chocolate cake her signature dish was to die. This restaurant is worth a visit!
. Even compared to the already high standards of Paris a Superb restaurant. When Americans first go to Paris, France, they are often surprised by the excellence of eating in restaurants. Even mid-level restaurants in Paris have better quality than the average restaurant in the United Sates. Also in Paris there are several restaurants that are not necessarily the highest price, but exemplary in terms of quality and service. Le Louis Restaurant, about 10 to 15 minutes' walk northeast of the Louvre in the first arrondissement, is one of these restaurants. It is not a huge restaurant, so for a traveling couple it is very intimate and the service exemplary. Due to the limited number of tables, a group of more than six can be difficult to accommodate. My brother and I found this little jewel of a restaurant recently in our first night in Paris in the second week of July 2015. The salmon salad as an appetizer (aka entrée in French) was one of the best seafood salads I ever had. One order is a lot for two. Then I chose the calfs that might have been the best calfs I've ever eaten. The savory cuts were perfectly grilled with a hint of alertness. We both had deserts that were amazing again. The price was unbeatable for all quality. We definitely went to more expensive restaurants in Paris, where the food was not as good as Le Louis, although of course only about every restaurant in Paris is high quality. If you compare quality and price, Le Louis is one of the best values in Paris. A starter, two plates (aka main dishes) and a few drinks came from about €45, or about $50 US. Even if the service in Paris is included in the price in restaurants, we decided to give something more. My brother and I met a conversation with the owner, a relatively young restorer, who apparently handmade all tables and created the decor that decorates the interior. The inside walls of the white patch penetrate with wooden beams rings of Renaissance architecture and it is beautifully decorated the walls with works of art and antiques, some replicas and a few originals. What struck me, the owner was clearly proud and satisfied with the beautification of his restaurant, so it was just a little more than many other similar restaurants in Paris. While other restaurants regarding decor were certainly very nice, its exceptional. We decided to eat there on our last day, beautiful bookkeepers for a week's stay. At the end of our last meal in Paris, the owner offered us free glasses of desert liqueurs. I want to be back at his table at my next visit. Visited July 2015

Small very charming restaurant in the heart of Paris, near the highest places of the capital, real surprise and a real pleasure for taste buds but also for the eyes. Paris is so sought after in the art of quality French cuisine. I highly recommend the chocolate mousse that is undoubtedly one of the best in Paris. Good tasting!
