We had a lovely dinner at this charming little restaurant on the left bank. The food was quite good if not superlative ... my entree goat cheese tart and two desserts were actually burnt a bit on the bottom crust. Still, we had a tasty meal and I would recommend if only for the warm and friendly service.
Bon.
We are staying at Hotel Montalembert.....this Bistro is wonderful...one of the best we have experienced....lovely service; terrific food; great value". The restaurant's ambiance encouraged conversation between tables...which we love.
Dining at Bistrot de l'Universite was delightful on our first night in Paris. The evening began with the friendly waiter who spoke English but helped us with our attempts to speak a little French. Hearing his descriptions of all the menu items got our taste buds primed for our meal. We each ordered Beef Bourguignon and shared the asparagus appetizer and a salad. All were wonderful!! The Bourguignon was tender and with just the right amount of tanginess. The night was rainy, and sitting in the cozy, small restaurant was a perfect place to be.
