I trusted the other good reviews and I hope it was just our experience. we understand that the prices in park city are higher, but we also expected that eating is of great quality. the food did not taste “bad”, but there was nothing special. the portions were very small and after $97 on everything, we were still hungry. again I hope it was only our experience there, but only being aware.
Two stars because of the good nachos, but the rest of our experience was miserable. First, we showed up a few minutes early for our reservation and the hostess very coldly informed us that we would “have to wait our turn for a table” of course we knew that we were just letting her know we arrived. We were eventually seated about 30 minutes after our reservation time, and were told by the hostess “don’t expect to be served for awhile, we’re really busy.” Luckily we didn’t wait long as anticipated and after ordering, our drinks and appetizers came out quick, but we were informed if we wanted a second round of drinks we would all need to finish our first round, since they were so busy? Okay, at least the nachos and first margaritas were good. Finally, the food. Our food came out (a couple orders of tacos, a burrito, and fajitas). All of the plates were covered in fries and the sides were missing. When we inquired about the missing rice and beans, and the addition of fries we were told that they subbed them since they ran out. This would’ve been nice to have known before we ordered, since a few people in our party don’t eat fries. Also, the chicken burrito that we received was missing all of the additional ingredients salsa, sour cream, and lettuce and was nothing more than shredded chicken wrapped in a tortilla (for $22). We were told they were out of those too.Credit to the waitress who was very friendly and understanding and knocked a couple things off our order for the inconvenience. The lack of communication and knowingly sending out sub par dishes is what was so upsetting to us. Some honesty up front would have gone a long way, but this is a place that could really use some help managing its staff and treating its customers with respect. There’s lots of good restaurants in Park City, so don’t waste your time here.
This was very good Mexican food. Loved the salsa and it was great that we could all sit together in a large group. Everyone enjoyed the tasty food.
Besides my hubby's old fashion being tasteless, Crystal Park Cantina has a strong star rating for a reason, the food here is quite tasty. I'm so glad I called in to make our dinner reservation because this spot gets packed quick around dinner time. Manuel was our server, and I must say he is one of the most respectful and kind servers I've ever encountered. Thank you for the great wait service, Manuel. Chips and Salsa 3 stars; the salsa had a weird marinara sauce after taste and the chips tasted store bought. Ceviche 3 stars; it was very bland, lacked lotsa lime juice and basic seasoning. Did they forget to shake S&P all over? Salt Bae where you at!? Where Crystal Park Cantina really redeemed themself is in the main entrées. I absolutely loved my steak quesadilla that was blanketed in jalapeño mozzarella which was paired with a cucumber sour cream. This earns a 5 star rating. But the real star of the show was my hubby's shredded beef enchiladas smothered in enchilada green sauce!!! OMG. This dish was heavenly and I would eat it again. The meat so tender and the sides so fresh. Peep the picture, it's so good! Crystal Park Cantina comes highly recommended if you're craving Mexican Food in Park City.
Not sure how this place stays in business, but it honestly is the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Veggie burrito literally was a drt tortilla with greasy veggies wrapped inside. Nothing else. The beans and rice were served on the side. Brutally bad.
