The next day I stopped by and was tempted by the massive 20oz steak. I am a big feller and love me some steak, THIS WAS A GREAT STEAK! it tasted like an honest to goodness home cooked steak and would hands down pick this over any famous chain. The meat was great, it was perfectly cooked, reasonably seasoned and I got the handcut fries (get the hand cut fries) as you can see from the phot it was a mountain of food. I was joined by the owner who sat down and we talked of life and challeneges and this and that, we probably solved the worlds problems five times over. He suggested i send a picture to my wife which I did. She was studying for finals and so had not joined me. No sooner did i send the picture did a twister from our rental form and she was at the table ordering her own steak before I could even blink. My wife loved the green beans and fried ocra, it was so fresh and green. Everything was delicious and the pies and ice cream (chefs kiss). You cannot pass this place up, the family that owns it runs it and it is a labor of love. There is a happiness here that is palpable and mixed with delicious food makes for a wonderful experince. Stop here ion the weekend for steak or any day for a great burger and an even better conversation. Great food and even greater people.
Great people, very friendly place. Not to mention great service and food.
Everything I hoped for. Was looking for an old time diner from days past and this is the place. Still seal the burgers and fries in their wrappers with tooth picks... Hand-cut fries , fresh hamburger meat. A place that takes you back to the 1960's 70's.
Wonderful place to visit. Fast friendly service. Great quality food made to order. All hot and fresh.
Delicious food!!! Cheeseburger, fresh cutries, Okra, Wels dinner, chocolate cake!!! All right! The hardest part is the selection of something from the menus
