Their beverage selection is equally impressive, with a wide range of choices to suit anyone’s taste. Our waitress Chailyn provided delightful service; she was very engaging and offered great recommendations based on what we might enjoy. Thanks to her, our glasses were never empty, and our food was served at just the right temperature. Bob and Nancy Nobles have truly created and manage a wonderful spot to eat, drink, and unwind at Takoda Tavern.
Delicious food with a wide variety of options. Be sure to try the wings as an appetizer! There's a bar upstairs if the noise downstairs becomes too much. They also offer live entertainment on certain nights. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the restrooms are well-maintained. It's a family-friendly place where kids are welcome.
I typically don't gravitate towards "bar food." Due to various food sensitivities and allergies, I usually avoid deep-fried or heavily battered options. While I didn't find the healthiest spinach salad I prefer, there were still a few dishes I enjoyed, like the Angus Beef without the bun or fries, and the Buffalo Wings (which they assured us were free of flour and wheat, but I recommend confirming that yourself). My sister particularly enjoyed the Crab Cake Salad and Buffalo Wings, and my brother-in-law has been happy with several choices, which is impressive since he's quite picky. One downside is that the smoking area is located too close to the patio, and it tends to get a lot of use. I have nothing against smokers, but the smoke gives me headaches and makes me feel nauseous, which complicates my dining experience. Ideally, a non-smoking area should be entirely smoke-free. Despite this issue, I’m giving them five stars because it’s a fantastic gathering spot with good food, live music, and a patio with breathtaking views!
We chose a restaurant with outdoor seating for our meal and shared an order of beef fajitas. We also enjoyed a couple of beers, and the total bill came to around $25, which I found to be very reasonable. The fajitas were delicious as well. We sat on the upstairs deck, and the mountain view was absolutely stunning—one of the best I've seen. I would highly recommend this place!
