My group tried a variety platter at this restaurant, which included pickled magnolia blossoms, spruce tip pesto, farmhouse organic pate, smoked wild salmon & daisy aspic, sprouted chickpea hummus, nettle kopita, fresh herbed farmers cheese, and 4 unique types of bread, including gluten free dandelion cornbread. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were delightful!
Went for an impromptu, casual lunch and ISW did not disappoint! It is a rare occasion to feel nourished after eating out, but that is exactly how we felt afterwards. The soda was just delicious and pleasantly not-sweet. Menu is definitely well thought out with lots of love, care and attention put into it, you can tell. Too bad we don't have such a restaurant in our neck of the woods.......Though we weren't with our kids that day for lunch, I have no doubt that they'd be welcome there:-) I LOVE the take-out instructions as to the dishes and have struggled with the whole "wastefulness" of that aspect of it as well - I'm not alone!
It might not be for everyone but you should eat this unique and healthy food. surprising flavor and reasonably prices, How can I go anywhere else. The international flair and changing special keep it interesting and take out is possible with reusable containers.
Delicious lunch of beet, walnut & chèvre salad with a cold soda works spiced homemade drink.......oh yum! Very healthy menu with lots to choose from. We saw bannock bread and taco's on another customers table that looked great. The dessert menu was really tempting!! Friendly welcome and efficient service too. Relaxing atmosphere and lovely little lamps provide a warm setting. Very central location in the old Qualicum Beach Fire station.
