For main dish there is a good choice of different meat. For desert we choose the semifreddo twice, because it was that good. La Felicita’s cooking is excellent with good value for money.
This pristine agriturismo has stands of chestnut trees, a fish pond and can provide a tour of Parmesan Reggiano cheese making a short drive away if arranged ahead. They serve outstanding generous platters of local and regional foods and a puffy fried bread with the antipasto course which consisted of local parma ham and meats and lardo. We enjoyed homemade gnocchi and salads of fresh oranges and finochio and sliced nuts and a green salad with carrots and dressing of olive oil and fresh orange juice. We had cookies of fried dough with powdered sugar and local red and white wine were served thoughout our lunch. If you want a slow leisurely lunch and to be able to enjoy the foods of the Reggio Emilia area this is the place to come.
I cannot get over how great that food was. We were served several courses, starting with fluffy bread and an assortment of meats, followed by the best ravioli I have ever eaten. Spinach and ricotta ravioli, pumpkin ravioli (my favorite), and chestnut raviolis were all served right before our veil and potato entree. The dessert platter was also incredible. Definitely recommended! Don't forget to buy wine to top it all off.
