Conveniently located within Westfield, parking is never a problem and it is easily accessible by train. A must-try at this restaurant is their roti canai, satay, and nasi lemak. As a coffee enthusiast, I couldn't resist sampling their Malaysian coffee and iced coffee, both of which were excellent!
The restaurant is currently offering a winter special, which includes one main dish and a drink for $15.90. We decided to try the chicken laksa and white coffee ice from the special menu, as well as the Oriental chicken chop from the a la carte menu. The winter special was a great deal as the main meals were full size. The laksa was authentic and delicious, with crispy beancurd sheets adding a nice crunch. The chicken chop was crispy and flavorful, and the chicken rice was a perfect accompaniment. The only thing that would have made it better is if it came with a side of hot soup. I usually go for Kopi 'o' ice at papparich, but since it wasn't on the lunch special menu, I tried the white coffee ice which was just as satisfying. The drink had lots of ice which was a nice change from previous visits where the ice drinks were warm and melted quickly. We arrived at around 1:15pm and had no trouble getting a table. The service was efficient and friendly, and our meals came out quickly.
I had a decent experience at this restaurant, which was a pleasant change from some of the negative reviews I had read. The service was satisfactory and the food was average for the price. It was more affordable than Korean food and definitely cheaper than Ho Jiak in Strathfield, which charges high prices for Malaysian cuisine. The biryani was not bad, but I found the portion of gravy for the curry chicken biryani to be lacking. However, the dessert, Lime with Mint and ice cream, was delicious. I visited on a Friday evening and found the crowd to be manageable.
Was there today waiters are stuck up rude as uck food is ok the Asian cash girl ill never go again but food was ok
Papa is rich because they serve food court quality at restaurant prices. We ordered the curry chicken with roti and dipping sauces and a prawn flat noodle. The chicken was cold and under cooked. The noodles were not cooked to order and bared no resemblance to the picture on the menu (like a frozen meal). It appears the noodles are cooked in bulk which is expected in a food court shop but not a restaurant. The only saving grace was that the portions were so small I had less to throw up later (either from the raw chicken or frozen prawns). The staff were miserable and were probably the reason why the meals were delivered cold.
