Sonesta Es Suites Parsippany

Awful. This place is absolutely filthy and run down. Dirty walls, and carpet, peeling paint, broken furniture, even the faucet wasn't attached to the counter top! Unbelievable that this place is charging $100-$20O an night. The level of filth was equivalent to a frat house.

Friendly staff, clean space. Well maintained outdoor area. Would like more snack options from the in-house store. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

There are many reasons that I would not recommend this hotel. The biggest being that I called front desk at 3pm about toilet backing up. Was told maintenance would come up to fix it and that I did not need to be there as I had a meeting to get to. When I returned to room at 6:40 it was to find that maintenance had not come to the room. I was told that maintenance had left for the day at 5pm and was told that I could come to the desk to get a plunger. The receptionist apologized and said she would let the manager know that maintenance did not show up. The hotel carpet is dirty and pulling up from the floor. I was told that they have washers and dryers for use and that I could buy laundry detergent and fabric softener. When I tried to they were out of laundry soap. This was my first time staying at an ES Sonesta and I will personally be hesitant to stay at another ES Sonesta in the future because of this stay.

This was the best continental breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. I had eggs, sausage, pancakes, hash browns, and a chocolate croissant. Yum! The lady at the front desk was very nice and shared her beautiful smile with everyone. I would give it 5 stars if the sound on my TV wasn't messed up. I'll definitely be back.

I travel to NJ for business and have stayed at this location MONTHLY for the last 5 YEARS. Today I check in and there is no WI-FI. I wasn't warned at check-in and I called about it and was lied to about when it would be working. I've called several times since and my calls aren't being answered. There has been a decline over the last year or so and only habit has kept me coming back. Please don't make my mistake. Save your money and your nerves.
