A nice café that's also serving vegetarian meals. It reminds you of the old cafés that nowadays have been replaced by the global coffeehouses. Lots of home made choices and a very service oriented staff. Absolutely worth a visit.
When I moved to Gothenburg in 1989 I found this Café and fel in love at first sight with the smile of the waitress. Since then I must have tried everything on the menu and never got disappointed. Today I took the bread-bun with herbs and cheese and a café au lait and enjoyed sitting in the sun at the opposite stone wall. A great place if you want to look at people passing .... a never ending stream, like a red carpet but for real. Take a seat and I promise you will not regret !
We popped in off chance as it was getting late and we were tired, so maybe didn't give this the best chance. We enjoyed the meat balls.
Cafeva reminds you of the olden days in this part of Gothenburg. They serve delicious and very unpretentious soups, home made bread with cheese and afterwards a cup of coffee/tea. Try also their amazing small semlor (only served in March). Rather busy and always friendly.
