Mutiny Scratch Kitchen Fresh - Pasadena

I really enjoyed my visit. First time to this location. It feels cosy inside. Not a large establishment, which I actually kind of liked. They also have outdoor seating. Service was good. Good selection of beers and liquors. The mussels were really good and I like that they give a plentiful amount of bread. The bread pudding was really good. The bread part was actually nicely toasted, which I can't say I've had before but it added a nice texture. If i'm in the area, i'll go again.

My husband order a chocolate martini and told them to make it well. They charged us for 2 martinis instead of one stating that they put 2 shots in a very tiny glass. $46 dollars for 2 chocolate martinis that were maybe 3 oz each... When I asked if there was an extra charge she just laughed and walked away... I had the fish and chips and it was alot of breading and very greasy, My husband got a burger and the ghost pepper fries. The fries were way too spicy that he couldn't even eat them.

The food was really good, and the staff is friendly. I like the outdoor patio area the best, as the inside is a bit dimly lit for my tastes. The kitchen is surprisingly slow considering we were there well after the main lunch crowd. There were very few patrons when we arrived but well over 20 minutes before the food was ready. I did like the food, but probably would not make a special effort to visit again.

Bread pieces drizzled with syrup posing as bread pudding. Highly disappointing. I've never seen a bread budding that didn't use eggs and clearly wasn't placed in the oven.The fish tacos were decent the sauce had a nice kick that really made the fish edible. The batter itself was bland. Fish had a decent crunch.

Ugh where do I start. I made reservations for 6 for Mother's Day. They couldn't find out reservations but did get us a table. We waited over 20 min for someone to come over. Once they came over they said they had a line cook pass out and things were a little hectic. Totally understandable. We got our drinks and waited about another 30 min for someone to come back to take our order. We ordered 2 appetizers and food. Well the appetizers took about 40 min to come out and our food NEVER came out. We talked to the manager and she said it would be out in 5 min. Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt we waited another 30 min. Before walking out. When I talked to her she was like yea it's just hectic and peoples tickets are getting mixed up... like what?! Not once did she mention that something would be comped due to the wait. Not even I'm so sorry this has happened. She seemed totally clueless and did not handle things as a manager should. It was when I said that this was not ok did she say they would comp our bill. Unfortunately we walked out before any food came out. We were there for over 2 1/2 hours before we left. No real apology from the manager. There were multiple tables that had the same issues that we had. This is not how you treat customers and expect as a small business to stay in Business. I really like this restaurant before but we will not ever be back to this location. Such a shame that my Mother's Day brunch was ruined because of poor management.
