Their breakfast burrito is delicious, but be careful- it can be a dangerous habit. Their cheesy egg toast is simple and delicious, and you can't go wrong with any of their bakery items. The chocolate chunk walnut cookie is oh so good, and they have the best kouign amann you'll find outside an actual French patisserie. Their cold brew, and iced latte is the reason I keep coming back. The employees are so sweet and are always in a good mood, the music is great here, and the vibe especially on a nice sunny day with the open doors is perfect.
Nice little cafe with an open feel. Small-ish parking lot in the back for patrons. No outlets I could see, though there was Wi-Fi. Uncomfortable chairs small tables. Decent amount of seating. Good for a quick meal/coffee break, probably not for an extended work session. Friendly staff and quick service. I got the breakfast sandwich but it was a weird combo of flavors textures (watercress/sauce didn’t work well). Decent prices overall. Would probably stop by again to try something else here.
Always liked Superba and been to their Venice Hollywood locations so I was excited to try their Pasadena location as well. I saw that the Pasadena menu was mainly brunch foods which I like so I reserved it for my Sunday brunch spot. After eating here, I had so many regrets and it was even worse bc I wasted my fav lunch day on a bad meal Ordered: 1. Vegetarian sausage biscuit sandwich 2. Chicken salad sandwich 3. Almond croissant As you can tell from the photos, everything was super lackluster and dry af for a place that’s KNOWN for their bread, I was shocked at how bad the bread quality was… each sandwich was stale and it was quite obvious that they used week old bread… The sausage sandwich’s cheese was cold and completely unmelted as you can tell from the photo. The sandwich was horrible and the bread was so dry I couldn’t even eat more than 1 bite.. I left feeling nauseous which is a really bad sign it confirmed my suspicion that they didn’t use high quality ingredients. The almond croissant was also burnt on the outside and had a really artificial almond flavor all in all this experience left a rly bad taste in my mouth (literally) and I won’t be coming again.. Price: $30/meal
Update: Still some great dishes, but be wary of stale sandwich bread. Worst bread I had at any place I can remember. Downgrading them from 5 to 3. Tasty food, friendly place. Nice outdoor seating. Try the turmeric ginger milkshake, it’s good! Bit of a pity they’ve started to close the big windows recently. It used to wonderfully airy.
Great weekend brunch spot with you pups! It has a decent amount of indoor seating and outdoor seating and the overall layout of the restaurant is open concept so it feels very relaxing and airy. Staff were all very friendly and the food was seclusion. I got the salmon umami bowl and it was the perfect balance of grain, veggies and protein. We also got a loaf of their sourdough bread and it was perfect!
