Lost at Sea - Pasadena

Overall, pretty good. Great oysters and appetizers. They also have house wine by the carafe, which we really appreciated. The entrees were ok, but nothing special. We got the market fish, which was well cooked, but kind of boring, and the scallop gnocchi, which was quite bland. The scallops were also not seared at all, so they were pretty plain. It’s cool that they have the option of a prix fixe menu, which my boyfriend ordered. This came with a dessert, which was pretty yummy. One thing to be aware of is that they were out of a lot of things, even though they have a tiny menu. It was pm on a Friday, so this was pretty odd. Overall, would come back, but would probably just get wine and apps.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing!! The food, the ambiance, and the service are just perfect! Can't believe this place is closing out. so sad. Glad to made it on their last day!

The food was delicious. The best I had in sometime. Service was good but the place was not crowded. Nice casual environment for laid back Angelinos. A bit expensive but I would pay again for the quality of the food.

Dissapointed with food and service We went at during a weeknight and the place was totally empty except for two couples. The waiter was not well-informed about the dishes and was not very attentive. He never came to ask how our food was or whether we needed anything else. He appeared very interested in dealing with other couples , filling their waters , joking with them and spending a fair amount of time chatting with them. The oysters were disappointing a little too fishy...there was no horseradish to mask this. The charred octopus with mole was very good but the waiter did not ask whether the tuile was gluten free even after we asked him to inquire. The gnocchi with scallops was bland. The swordfish was good but the veggies that accompanied it were not stellar- not enough to justify the price. The panna cotta was probably the best part of the meal.

One of the best meals in Pasadena ! Such a gem. The quality of ingredients is top notch and the chef Tim elevated them with the effortless ease of a master chef. Such an unbelievable treasure in Pasadena!
