Having tried steaks around the world from NYC to Toronto to Vancouver and Auckland, I can say our party of 20 was impressed. We were accommodated in a private room and enjoyed a pre-ordered meal. The meal started with a basket of warm white and sourdough buns with butter, which was standard but satisfying. The salads, Caesar and Soft-shell crab, were a mixed bag. The Caesar salad was average, but the soft shell crab salad stood out with its drizzling vinaigrette and crispy crab. Next came two pasta dishes, truffle and squid ink. The truffle pasta was good, but the squid ink pasta stole the show with its unique flavor. The dry aged steak was cooked perfectly and the fried chicken with rice was decent. The crispy fish with wild rice, however, could have been better. The ambience was nice, and the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive and ready for any requests. Overall, it was a yummy dinner experience at Mamou 3.
After trying the steak at Peter Luger's during our trip to NYC, my husband and I were on a mission to find a similar dining experience back home. Once you have steak the way they serve it at Peter Luger's, you can't go back to eating steak any other way! Thankfully, we discovered Mamou 3.0. This particular branch has become our go-to spot for satisfying our steak cravings, and we make a point to visit about once a month. In addition to their renowned dry-aged steaks, some of our favorite dishes include Lorenzo's truffle pasta, Dry Aged Burger, Lamb Chops, and Wawa's Prime Rib. Don't miss out on their delicious sides like Steak Rice, Mamou's Bacon Steaks, and Cinnamon Saba. If you visit on weekends, be sure to check out their Brunch Menu and try Rau's Platter or Pappy's Toast. The staff at Mamou 3.0 are attentive and friendly, although I must admit that I'm not a fan of the celebratory song they perform for birthdays. Despite my reluctance, my husband persuaded them to sing for me, much to my dismay. As a result, I received two slices of dessert as a gift – a humorous gesture that I couldn't help but appreciate. I highly recommend making reservations, especially for dinner, as Mamou 3.0 tends to be consistently busy. However, I don't mind waiting in line for a taste of their delicious steak!
