Tremendous Pinot Noir wines at Windward Vineyard. The Windward 2016 Monopole Pinot Noir was my favorite, we bought a bottle! Such beautiful vineyard view here! Super friendly people working at Windward Vineyard, pouring tasting, sharing wine information with us.

Unique vineyard and a refreshing find for the area! The focus is on Old World style Pinot Noir, and they are fantastic (including the Rosé of PN). I highly recommend doing a private tasting in the barrel room. Their wine club membership is very good as well, and the customer service is top notch.

If you like Pinot Noir done in a burgundy style, this place is for you. Delicate red’s that don’t try to overwhelm you with fruit. Everything is a state ground so you can really taste the difference from year to year based on the weather. I like going to a place where you run into the owners in the tasting room. Go beyond the tasting and get a glass of wine to sit out front and play some bocce ball. There’s always a great afternoon breeze and it’s far enough away from 46 that you don’t hear the traffic.
