L'Opera - Pau

It was a Friday night and the formula in the restaurant is then fixed. A starter (2 decisions), a main court (2 decisions) and a dessert (2 decisions). Everything we chose was delicious. If we ever stay in Pau again, this is the place we eat. Very recommended!

Very delicious lunch, very friendly service and good value for money. At least the fifth time. And we're back for more!

We visited here while on a rugby trip to Pau, it was recommended on TripAdvisor. The menu only had two choices for each course but they were all delicious and very well prepared. The staff were excellent as we only had a smattering of French....If you are visiting Pau, this is a definite choice, but do book.

My first experience at this new place but I have been impressed. I went for lunch and all over the places around quartier des Halles were full. One menu at very reasonable price and delicious food, fresh, clean and sophisticated. Perfect service....so good !

The decor is modern perhaps a very new restaurant. Wine glasses attracted us when passing. They serve only 3 red and white local wines by the glass E3. We tried the Corbieres white and 2 reds, all were very good. Service is quite quick but you can linger if you want. We were seated beside a lovely local elderly lady and had great fun talking to her. The food is beautifully presented. On this day we tried pannacotta,melon and jambon served in a glass. A combination of fresh,creamy and melt in the mouth jambon. Mains were large fresh garden salad with lots of jambon and my partner enjoyed a lamb targine with cous cous. This appears to be a restaurant that locals know as it was very busy and not on the main tourist streets.
