In Pavia there is no Gelateria au pari. In addition, chocolates (of many types), sweets and cream are beyond any comparison as they are good. Kindness and friendliness of staff and quality of products are the strong points of the local.
Bar recently renovated, with some seating both inside and outside. It makes homemade ice cream of good quality, although the variety of tastes is exigous. In particular the cream is fantastic and wonderfully matches both ice cream and hot chocolate. Honest prices.
Every time I have breakfast at the Modern I feel like home. Gentle, friendly, Christophèr and Vincenzo Capuchin artists, young and dynamic. Brioches and connoisseur desserts, and there are also famous characters.
If you go to Pavia, stop to taste a wonderful ice cream from this ice cream parlor. They deserve a couple of turns.
